In 2016, Ashapura set its sights on Guinea, a land that holds nearly a quarter of the world's bauxite reserves. What began with a single lease at Boffa soon grew into a bold presence, spanning over 286,000 hectares of bauxite and iron ore resources.
By 2019, we were not only mining but also building, developing ports, plants and roads that carried Guinea's rich minerals to the world. Our first shipments in 2020 marked the beginning of a proud new chapter.
Today, that story continues with the ABB Boffa Port, a state-of-the-art facility with a loading capacity of 25,000 tonnes a day; the Fatala River bridge, set to transform mine connectivity by 2025; and a long-term partnership with a Chinese major to expand mining, transport and marine logistics. Alongside these milestones, Ashapura invests in healthcare, education and sport, ensuring our footprint in Guinea creates value far beyond resources.

Our journey in Guinea has been one of purpose, perseverance, and partnership. The successful development of the HUDDA MINE & GSM Port is not just a milestone for our company it is a testament to what can be achieved when vision meets collaboration.
We are deeply thankful to the Government of Guinea, the local authorities, and the communities who have welcomed us and supported our mission. Their trust has been the cornerstone of our progress.
At Ashapura, we believe in creating infrastructure that empowers economies and uplifts lives. The GSM Port is a symbol of that belief an asset that will serve generations and foster growth across the region.
